Introduction

This component is a PubMed Rss Feeder, which is linked to NCBI database. To set up this feeder go to PubMed and follow the instructions to get the RSS URL. Up to 5 search terms can be entered. When the literature is updated only the newest added literature for your search terms will be shown, up to a total of 100 items or less depending on your setup. Detailed instructions for the setup are included in the download files. Why should you use it? The search is continously updated by PubMed and you will only see the newest publications. Unlike going to PubMed every time and do a search you can now have the same search and still have the same access to all PubMed features as if you go to PubMed itself and try to figure out the newest publications. The component has additional convenient features.

• If you press on a number of a citation, the whole citation will be shown in the abstract field. You can copy and paste it to store it as a reference.
• You can perform additional search among the abstracts to search for more keywords. The abstract numbers are then displayed.
